One Dallas eatery makes the list of Esquire best new restaurants

Chef Tiffany Derry's restaurant, Roots Southern Table, introduces comfort food in Southern culture. Food editor Eric Sandler applauds the restaurant's exquisite variety of shrimp & grit and fried chicken. Black Southern cooking is the "country's greatest culinary patrimony", according to Sandler.
